At GICCC the Usher Ministry is an organized unit of Christian workers committed to the task of enhancing the quality of prayer, praise and the entire worship experience.

Their m ission is to make each member and visitor feel welcomed and valued when they enter the sanctuary. To maintain an environment that is free from interruptions so that the congregation may feel free and secure while they worship.

The Watchman Ministry consists of men and women who are called to serve and protect God’s House. The ministry has over 30 years of experience in law enforcement and event security. The members consist of Law Enforcement Officers, Military Personnel, Business professionals, Truck Drivers, Educators, Deacons, and Ministers.

Ezekiel 33:6 “But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet and the people are not warned, and a sword comes and takes a person from them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood I will require from the watchman’s hand.”

We believe that strong marriages build strong families, which builds a strong church.
We also strive to illustrate a positive image and the importance of the covenant we made with God and our mates. GICCC's Greeters Ministry is designed to afford visitors and members an opportunity to leave any stress or distress at the door. We are here to offer a warm smile, a strong handshake, and a holy hug to those persons worshiping with us. Always praying that everyone will enter His courts with thanksgiving and praise.

Visitors Ministry

The Visitors Ministry will welcome and assist visitors by answering questions and disseminating information about the church and it's activities.

Our Health Care Ministry will keep us informed about preventative health care practices such as yearly physicals, good eating habits and exercising. This ministry also encourages and teaches us how to properly care for our temples in a Godly manner.

Will encourage single men and women to live holy as singles adults. It also affords singles the opportunity to meet and socialize with their peers. Our classes offer life changing lessons from the word of God as we share with other singles who experience many of the same things on a daily basis.

L.I.F.T. (Ladies Implementing Femininity & Triumph)

The L.I.F.T. Ministry, led by our First Lady Linda K. Adkins, endeavors to equip and empower women with biblical principles that will educate, elevate, illuminate, and motivate them to grow spiritually. This ministry will teach women how to become better wives and mothers, it will also empower them to make sound financial decisions. To LIFT the spirits of other women by empowering their minds to be strong and encouraged so that they will be able to live wholesome lives.

Sons of Thunder Men's Ministry

This ministry will encourage and challenge men to assume the position of leadership and take dominion over those things God created in the earth for him. This ministry will cause men to become Godly husbands, fathers, businessmen, and employees. These men will mentor young men as they grow and mature in Christ.

College Student Fellowship

This fellowship allows college students to address issues that they have to deal with as it encourages young people both men and women to study Gods word and apply it to their lives on a daily basis. This ministry will help these young people develop a closer relationship with Christ as it equips them to deal with pier pressure from a biblical perspective.

Recreation Center

This ministry encourages a total life approach to fitness; we believe that God wants us healthy, physically as well as spiritually. Our FLC features aerobics, in door walking track, team sports, racquetball, individual sports, adult volleyball and a recreation room.

This ministry will carry out the overall plan for the great commission given to the church by Jesus the Christ to go ye therefore into all nations. These individuals will systematically witness to our unsaved and backslidden men, women and children encouraging them to accept Christ as their personal savior.

Greater Imani is founded on the principle of the "teaching ministry." We believe that all of our members should always be in a state of progressive spiritual improvement, constantly advancing in the divine life for the "perfecting of the saints." Our Christian education department is committed to professionalism and excellence in teaching the best in materials and curriculum. Our zeal of God must be according to knowledge. To that end, Greater Imani offers Orientation Classes for all new members and is open to any visitors or long-time members who would like additional information about the church. These orientation classes are for anyone interested in learning about opportunities to serve, as well as information about all areas of the church and its history. The sessions are taught in four-week intervals on Wednesday nights beginning at 6:00pm.
We are a large church family, but we are a loving church family. We don't want our new members to get that "lost" feeling here. Our goal is to bring every new member together to share love and minister to all their spiritual needs.
